Dr. Howard Fortescue is the founder and Managing Director of HFF Ltd. which is based in South Wales.
Howard Graduated in Physics from the Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh and then studied teaching and education at Moray House College and Edinburgh University. He taught Maths and Physics in Scotland for a few years and then moved to the midlands to work in the Automotive industry and gain a PhD from Aston University.
Howard entered Optical Disc field in the early days with Philips, working on Laservision and has remained at the forefront of of Optical Disc development to the present day.
This long, varied and in depth experience with Philips, PDO, Nimbus and Technicolor has encompassed many successful projects in UK and worldwide. Howard was heavily involved in setting up the (Nimbus/Technicolor) UK, Luxembourg and Poland plants particularly the Mastering and Electroforming areas.
When Technicolor ceased its UK disc manufacturing, Howard started HFF Ltd. with a view to supporting Optical disc Manufacture wherever required and also developing products and services outside this field.
